Today is dedicated to Willy "PineTop" Perkins, a Mississippi born blues legend, who passed away today at the age of 99. He's was one of the kindest down to earth, blues artists in the business.
I know, first hand, 'cause he offered me his couch one time, after we met at a jam many years ago. I was seeking serious blues mentoring from a delta born, real deal, old school bluesman, such as he was. He taught me so much.
